Description
Designed with comic graphic quality, this poster for the luxury shoe brand ‘Bally’ is a striking document of the relationship between fashion and winter sports in the mid twentieth century. With exaggerated use of colour and form, it conveys the excitement and glamour of skiing, and remains an iconic example of Bally’s highly collectable design heritage. Bally’s reputation as a footwear leader began in the mid nineteenth century by brothers Carl and Fritz, and continues to this day, not only in Switzerland, but across the world. A quirky, playful poster for the modern collector.
