Description
This original poster is one of the series produced for David Hockney’s Retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1988. It features Hockney’s painting ‘Nichols Canyon’, 1980, one of his most important landscapes which depicts the winding titular road in Los Angeles.
Nichols Canyon was a highlight of Hockney’s landmark 1988 retrospective, shown at the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art before touring to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, and the Tate Modern in London.
